It is expected that as from Monday 6th January the bus stops at the train station will be relocated within station square. Coventry Ambassador volunteers are being requested to support this change to help ensure visitors to and residents of Coventry have a positive travel experience while this change is put into place by informing rail travellers and passing on further information of the ongoing works.
At least two Ambassadors are required at any one time in set shifts of three to six hours from Monday 6th – Saturday 11th January.

Monday 6th January to Saturday 11th January from 7am to 7pm (see shifts).
Shift 1: 7am – 10am;
Shift 2: 10am – 1pm;
Shift 3: 1pm – 4pm;
Shift 4: 4pm – 7pm

Ambassadors can register for any number of shifts on each given date and will be allocated shifts ahead of the event.

Please ensure your register for each date separately that you are available to volunteer for along with the number shift you can make.

The event is Brought to you by Coventry City Council. The volunteer manager is Faye Griffiths (Coventry City Council)
Pre Event Briefing
A pre event briefing will be provided on the event day on arrival to the train station concourse with the lead person from Coventry City Council.
An FAQ sheet will be provided for volunteers ahead of the event.
Transport & Parking
Free parking for volunteers is able to be provided at the Westminster Road car park opposite the station
Please confirm if you do require parking when you register to volunteer and please supply your car registration number to book your space.

Food / Refreshments
An allowance will be kindly provided by CCC for volunteers to be able to reimburse for food and refreshments purchased from M&S within the station. Please feel free to bring additional snacks and drinks with you.

Volunteer Roles
Roles may include one or all of the following:
• Wayfinding & letting people know that the bus stops have closed and have relocated to the front of the station.
• Providing information to the general public
• Volunteer locations will be both in and outside of the station concourse

Uniform / Dress Code
Please wear your official Coventry Ambassador uniform. Where possible please wear plain dark trousers / skirt / shorts. Please prepare for all weathers and suitably “layer up” under your uniform (any fleeces/jumpers should be worn underneath) so that either your pink & purple polo shirt or storm jacket is visible at all times.
Recently recruited volunteers will be provided with a Coventry Ambassadors Hi-Vis vest.
Event Day Arrival & Registration
Arrival will be at train station concourse please register to the designated CCC lead and the lead Coventry Ambassador Coordinator. The volunteer role will be taking place in and around station square.

Registration Details
Please apply via the EnV website and also please register for each event date you can attend and clearly state the shift(s) you are available for in the notes section. Please also note if you will require a car parking space along with your car registration number

Please let us know any accessibility support needed.
Please take your mobile phone with you if you have one so that the Event Manager and Coventry Ambassador Coordinator / Leader are able to contact you and so that you can also make contact in case of an emergency.
Please ensure you log the contact number of the Event/Volunteer Manager when you arrive at registration.
All duties will take place outside.
Ambassadors will be positioned in & around the station square.

Your personal data will not be shared with any other company or individual other than those employed or engaged by EnV for the purposes supervising volunteer welfare or of data processing.
